Kerri Gardin Highlight Video

Throughout the coming months, connnecticutsun.com will be taking a look back at the 2009 season with a series of highlight videos of each member of the team. First up in the series is second-year forward Kerri Gardin.

Gardin, a rangy and versatile forward, started 23 of 33 games for the Sun in 2009. She established new single-season highs in 10 statistical categories, including scoring and rebounding. Gardin set new career highs with 23 points and nine made field goals in season-ending win over Indiana (9/13) and narrowly missed a triple double against Chicago (6/19), finishing with 12 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high seven assists. The Virginia Tech product finished third on the team in total rebounds (143), second in offensive rebounds (54) and fourth in defensive rebounds (89). She also had the first three double-doubles of her career and pulled down career-high nine defensive rebounds against Chicago (6/19). In an eight game stretch from August 14 to August 30, Gardin averaged 7.2 rebounds per game.
