Drafted in March with the 11th overall pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft, Duke star Chelsea Gray will miss this season while recovering from a knee injury suffered in January. She is expected to join the Sun in 2015.

Dont ever forget where you came from.
Those words, often spoken by my mother, will resonate with me forever. I was determined to give back to my community in some way once I had the resources and time to do so. This summer and fall I was fortunate enough to have time to put those words into action.
On October 24, 2014, I was able to go back to Brock Elliott Elementary School to speak to a room full of students and share my journey. The message of my speech was to follow your dreams, no matter what adversity takes place. My goal was to instill in them the confidence that they can do whatever the set their minds to.
On October 25, 2014, I ran a clinic at my alma mater St. Marys High School in Stockton, Ca. My clinic welcomed boys and girls of all skill levels from 2nd grade through high school. I emphasized the fundamentals of basketball: ball handling, shooting, and defense. I also included some agility work, offensive skills, and the necessary tools to play at the next level
My goal is to make this an annual clinic, in which majority of the proceeds will go to a student-athlete that does not have the funds to travel to tournaments or attend basketball camps. I have always loved working with kids, so for me to be able have an affect on a young kids life,will mean that another one of my dreams has came true.
