Connecticut Sun Participate In Sixth Annual Healthy Habits Showcase
On Sunday, November 1, the Connecticut Sun, team mascot Blaze and the Solar Power Dance Team participated in the Sixth Annual Healthy Habits Showcase from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun.
Admission to the event was free, and featured the Kidz Safety & Wellness Trail as well as a variety of demonstrations and events such as flu shots, a healthy teeth exhibit and free health screenings. It was a way for adults and seniors to learn about and understand the latest trends in health care and wellness as well and inform children and teens about nutrition, exercise and healthy living. The Sun capped off the Trail with basketball shooting event, with each child that completed the challenge receiving a prize.
