Sun Celebrate Thanksgiving at Covenant Shelter
The Connecticut Sun celebrated Thanksgiving with the residents of the Covenant Shelter of New London on Monday, November 21st. Sun head coach Mike Thibault and the team staff brought Thanksgiving dinner to the nearly 30 residents of the shelter.
Mohegan Sun provided the meal, which consisted of 25 pounds of potatoes, 25 pounds of stuffing, 10 pounds of yams, 50 pounds of assorted vegetables, 12 turkeys, lasagna, and an assortment of pies and cookies.
After dinner, Coach Thibault and the Sun staff played a variety of board games with the children, and posed for pictures with the residents.
