Mascot
The Connecticut Sun are seeking a highly motivated, energetic and talented individual to perform as our mascot, Blaze, for outside community appearances. The ideal candidate would have experience performing as a mascot; possess excellent non-verbal communication skills, athletically and physically fit, and have a creative and humorous personality. Appearances will primarily be during business hours Monday-Friday but may also include nights and weekends.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent GED degree. College graduate preferred
Minimum 2 or more years experience as a mascot at the collegiate, minor or professional league level
Good interpersonal skills (especially with children)
Good with spontaneous crowd-interaction
Ability to dance (professional dance training a plus)
Acting experience a plus
Performer training a plus
Great personality
Must be reliable and punctual
Strong non-verbal communication skills
Essential Job Functions:
Perform as mascot at assigned weekday sponsor and community events/programs as well as other events deemed important by the organization
Spontaneous crowd interaction during appearances
Work with Game Operations Manager for all community appearances and programs
Work with sales staff at all events to drive crowd interaction to the staff
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
