Game Operations Manager - Connecticut Sun - WNBA / New England Black Wolves
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for planning, organizing and executing Connecticut Sun - WNBA and New England Black Wolves - NLL game production and presentation, and assisting the Sports and Entertainment and Human Resource departments as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
  • Develops game formats, production sheets and timing for all games and special events
  • Hires and manages seasonal staff, including the dance team, mascot, PA announcer, anthem singers and half-time entertainment
  • Directs all video production, music selection and coordination
  • Acts as technical liaison for television production of games
  • Oversees the Live Access streaming production

    Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates all lighting and works with arena technical production staff
  • Assists management with the planning and implementation of special events
  • Assists the Sponsorship department with fulfillment and proof of performance
  • Works with the Public Relations and Community Relations department to enhance special activities, streams to the web press conferences, etc.
  • Works closely with the WNBA to uphold all WNBA/NBA game operations policies
  • Manages the design and implementation of all CRM to season subscribers

    Minimum Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelorsí Degree in Communications or a related field
  • Three years of experience working with a collegiate or professional sports team in a game entertainment or operations capacity
  • Previous video editing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, six years of experience working with a collegiate or professional sports team in a game entertainment or operations capacity may be considered

    Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
  • Knowledge of video editing
  • Creative development and execution of promotions
  • Understanding of advertising and the use of social media
  • Basic understanding of the Mohegan Sun budget process
  • Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment

    Training Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures
  • Must complete the Core Manager Training course
  • Knowledge of all programs and applications related to video editing and web development
  • Understanding of Ascent, Empower Time and Manager Self Service

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment, bags and supplies that may be in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Overnight travel may be required
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours

    Sales Executive - Connecticut Sun - WNBA / New England Black Wolves - NLL

    This is your chance to get your foot in the door of a professional sports team owned by one of the largest gaming facilities in the world, Mohegan Sun! We now have two professional sports teams - the Connecticut Sun - WNBA and the New England Black Wolves - NLL (Professional Men's Indoor Lacrosse)

    Qualified candidate will sell season, group, flex and individual tickets to the public and via partnerships with sponsors, vendors, local and regional corporations within an assigned territory. Will follow-up on all leads, however, will primarily make cold calls and develop relationships/partnerships with regional civic and corporate clients to generate contacts, formalize proposals and interact with diverse levels of individuals.

    Meets individually established sales objectives and performs other related duties as assigned while promoting superior customer service. Position pays a base salary plus commission, with built in growth and earning potential with each year of service.

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelorís degree required and/or at least 2 years of previous professional sales experience. Must have experience formalizing sales proposals. Must possess excellent customer service skills and intermediate computer skills. Ability to work long and unusual hours including late nights, weekends and holidays.
