Sun Players Give Clinic At Dunkin’ Donuts

On Thursday, August 7th, the Dunkin' Donuts Connecticut Sun Summer Caravan made a stop at the Dunkin' Donuts at 704 Foxon Road in East Haven, Conn. Sun players Tamika Raymond, Asjha Jones and Danielle Page, as well as team mascot Blaze, were on hand from 1-2:30 p.m. and held a clinic for 50 children from the New Haven Boys and Girls Club. With Raymond giving instructions, the children were separated into five groups of 10, which then competed against each other in a relay. With Page providing a demonstration of each segment, the groups did drills and exercises much like the Sun do to open each practice.

Once the drills were over, Raymond and Jones demonstrated the proper techniques of shooting to the kids, and all three players participated in a question and answer session before signing autographs. Radio station KC 101 also be broadcasted live from the event, and the management of the Dunkin' Donuts provided samples of the new Peach Tea Coolata to all in attendance.

Thursday's event was the first of two that Sun players will be participating in during the Caravan. On Thursday, August 14th, Sun players will also be conducting another clinic at the Dunkin' Donuts at 129 Westin Street in Hartford from 1-2:30 p.m.
