On Thursday, July 9th, the Connecticut Sun celebrated its Fourth Annual Camp Day in Mohegan Sun Arena.
Camp Day featured a complete team scrimmage, with assistant coaches Bernadette Mattox and Scott Hawk each coaching a side. The scrimmage was four, six-minute quarters with all of the game aspects included, such as music, an in-game host and contests during timeouts.
At the halftime break, all of the campers, and some of the Sun players, participated in a spirited game of Simon Says guided by Steve Max.
At the conclusion of play, some campers had the opportunity to participate in a skills competition against Sun players and then all members of the team and coaching staff participated in a question and answer session. Over 1,200 campers participated in the day from 22 camps across Connecticut and Massachusetts.
