Shannon "Pee Wee" Johnson completed her legendary WNBA career with the Storm. The four-time WNBA All Star and Olympic gold medalist spent the 2009 season in Seattle after signing as a free agent. The move reunited her with Storm Head Coach Brian Agler, who coached Johnson with the ABL's Columbus Quest when the two combined to win consecutive ABL championships. She subsequently joined the WNBA and was allocated to the Orlando Miracle, where she was one of the league's top point guards because of her ability to beat opponents with her scoring and passing. Johnson also played for the Connecticut Sun, San Antonio Silver Stars (working with Agler, an assistant coach), Detroit Shock (advancing to the WNBA Finals) and Houston Comets. Johnson provided the Storm an experienced backup for starting point guard Sue Bird before retiring as one of two players in WNBA history with 3,000 career points, 1,000 assists and 1,000 rebounds.
