At 6-8, Lindsay Taylor is tied with several other players as the second-tallest player in WNBA history behind 7-2 Connecticut center Margo Dydek. Finally, Taylor has found a coach she doesn't look on by signing with the Storm and fellow 6-8 Anne Donovan. Part of a star-studded frontcourt at UC-Santa Barbara that also included future WNBA players Kayte Christensen and Kristen Mann, Taylor finished as the Gauchos' career leader in points (1,755), blocks (242) and field-goal percentage (.558). She was Big West Player of the Year as a junior and three times Big West Tournament MVP, as well as Big West Freshman of the Year. Drafted in the second round of the 2004 WNBA Draft by Houston and subsequently traded to Phoenix in a prearranged deal, Taylor played sparingly with the Mercury in 2004 before being waived at the end of 2005 training camp. She spent the 2006 offseason in Turkey, where she averaged 16.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game for Botas.
