There was a time when it appeared as though Jessica Bibby might never play basketball again. The Australian sharpshooter injured her back in 1999, but was able to grit her way through a season with the New York Liberty at the age of 20, playing 69 minutes over 17 games, but was unable to play by the middle of 2001. Surgery allowed Bibby to return to the WNBL, where she was the 1996 Rookie of the Year, for the 2003-04 season. Back at full strength last year, Bibby averaged 13.9 points for the WNBL Champion Dandenong Rangers and scored a career-high 47 points in one game. Now, Bibby returns to the WNBA with the Storm.
