| By selecting Brandie Hoskins in the third round of the 2007 WNBA Draft, the Storm used a long-term philosophy. Hoskins was unable to play in 2007 after tearing her left Achilles late in her senior season at Ohio State. The Storm drafted Hoskins anyway, planning all along to bring her to training camp in 2008. Hoskins has first-round talent, playing a key role on a Buckeyes squad that was 22-1 at the time of her injury but slumped thereafter. Hoskins averaged 14.3 points, 4.9 assists and 3.6 rebounds as a senior and can play either guard position. | ||||||
