SEATTLE - Following today’s WNBA Expansion Draft, the Seattle Storm made a trade with the expansion Atlanta Dream, moving the Storm up in the 2008 WNBA Draft. The Storm moves up to the No. 4 overall pick, and also acquired Roneeka Hodges from the Dream who selected the 5-11 guard from the Houston Comets in the expansion draft earlier today. In exchange for the No. 4 pick and Hodges, the Storm traded guard Iziane Castro Marques and the No. 8 pick in the 2008 Draft to Atlanta.
“We added flexibility and a lot of options with the No. 4 pick,” Storm head coach
Brian Agler said. “Roneeka is having a great season in Spain right now and we certainly look forward to having her in camp this spring. I’m excited about how our roster is taking shape prior to the draft and we are keeping our options open in the coming weeks.”
