Storm Signs Lindsay Taylor

SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm today signed 6-8 center Lindsay Taylor to a training camp contract, Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Anne Donovan announced. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Taylor was originally drafted by the Houston Comets in the second round (26th pick overall) of the 2004 WNBA Draft and was subsequently traded to Phoenix. Taylor appeared in five games for the Mercury during the 2004 WNBA season, scoring three points and grabbing three rebounds in 26 minutes of action. The former UC Santa Barbara star is currently playing with Botas Spor (Adana) in Turkey and has averaged 16.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting 62 percent from the field.

The Storm will open their 2006 season against Western Conference rival Los Angeles at KeyArena on Sunday, May 21 at 6 p.m. The following Tuesday, May 23, Seattle will host the Houston Comets at 8 p.m. at the Key. The Storm vs. Comets game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.
