A 74-60 victory in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals in front of 17,072 ecstatic fans Brought It Home for the Storm's first WNBA Championship and the first major professional championship in the city of Seattle in a quarter-century. Guard Betty Lennox earned WNBA Finals MVP on the strength of her 23 points in the clincher and 22.3 points per game during the Storm's 2-1 series victory. But the Oct. 12 win was only the conclusion of a playoff journey that included a sweep of the Minnesota Lynx, a 2-1 hard-fought victory over the Sacramento Monarchs, and the Storm overcoming Sue Bird's broken nose and the death of Lauren Jackson's grandmother on the eve of the playoffs. Read all about this remarkable journey with the links at right and below.
