Postgame Quotes/Notes: Indiana 72, Storm 48

Sept. 12, 2012

STORM HEAD COACH BRIAN AGLER:

On the game:
Indiana played well. We were out-numbered and the score showed it. They out hustled us and our turnovers hurt us.

STORM FORWARD SVETLANA ABROSIMOVA:

On the game:
Obviously, very tough for us with our two top point guards unavailable. That's what happens. We have to learn to adjust. We had way too many turnovers. Indy is extremely defensive and we needed to toughen up to stop them.

STORM CENTER ANN WAUTERS:

On the game:
Without Sue (Bird) and Tanisha (Wright), things were difficult. The first half we competed well, stayed in the game. Second half, competition stepped up. We turned the ball over way too many times. Without our two top point guards, things we difficult. They played a good game. We need to move on to prepare for the playoffs and we need to play better as a team.

INDIANA HEAD COACH LIN DUNN:
On the game:
We did what we needed to do to win. Once we found out their starting backcourt was not going to play, we stayed focused. We are happy to get our 20th win and home court for the first round of the playoffs. We will now get refocused to play the defending champions on Friday.

INDIANA FORWARD TAMIKA CATCHINGS:
On the game:
It obviously shows consistency. And when you look at the success we've had with the core group we've built around, it just shows the focus and how far our team has gone. On another hand, we need to get over the hump when you're that consistent and need to get to the playoffs and win a championship.

INDIANA GUARD KATIE DOUGLAS:
On the Fever's centers:
The girls came in, Tammy (Sutton-Brown), Sasha (Goodlet), Jessica (Davenport). I think it starts at practice, pushing one another, just talking to one another. It's good competition. And that's what you want on a team. You want the one in to do a great job with the ones on the bench encouraging. And we need them to play well every night.
