Postgame Quotes/Notes: Storm 89, Tulsa 66

Sept. 8, 2012

STORM HEAD COACH BRIAN AGLER:

On the game:
We've got really good post players. I think the person that's really benefiting from Lauren (Jackson), Ann (Wauters) and Tina (Thompson) being back is Camille Little. Because now all of the sudden she gets a lot of one-on-ones. Instead of playing in congestion, you have to guard those people and now Camille's playing with a lot of space around her. And she's the one that's really benefiting and it benefits our team.

STORM GUARD SUE BIRD:

On the game:
I think as a team we played very well. We took care of the ball, which is extremely important against this Tulsa team. I'm obviously very happy with the outcome. But I think in every area we can always get better. We're definitely a defensive-minded team and we thrive off of that. So, the more we can pick up our defensive intensity the better it will help the rest of our game.

STORM FORWARD CAMILLE LITTLE:

On the game:
My opportunity is in front of me and I am just trying to capitalize on it and concentrate on finishing at the rim. I'm undersized and sometimes it's difficult but I'm feeling good, I'm healthy and I hope I continue to play well.

TULSA HEAD COACH GARY KLOPPENBURG:
On the game:
When you look at it, you can't shoot 33 percent and them shoot 58 percent. You're just not going to win a game like that. We missed a lot of inside shots that we need to get down and that's the bottom line, the shooting percentage.

TULSA GUARD IVORY LATTA:
On the game:
We fought hard to the end. When we go back to practice on Monday, we're going to clear a lot of things up on the defensive end. We've still got to stay together as a team and continue to finish this season off strong. And just go out there and play hard and leave everything out on the court.

TULSA GUARD RIQUNA WILLIAMS:
On the Storm:
They have a great coach and great vets that step up and do their job.
