Postgame Quotes/Notes - Indiana 78, Storm 61

July 5, 2011

STORM HEAD COACH BRIAN AGLER:

On the game:
Indiana played very well. They disrupted our offense. We couldn’t get in the flow.

STORM GUARD SUE BIRD:

On the game:
It was a tough game. For Indy, they played well and did what they had to do. For us, we let them get a lead that we could not cut into. They responded to everything we gave them.

STORM FORWARD SWIN CASH:

On the game:
Tough loss. We had an opportunity in the fourth. There are still lots of games left. It will be good to get off the East Coast.

INDIANA HEAD COACH LIN DUNN:
On the Storm:
We got a great effort out of the bench. They gave us a real spark. When you can get 26 points out of your bench, that’s a great thing. We did a good job of sharing the ball. I was impressed with the play of (Shannon) Bobbitt and (Erin) Phillips. We did not turn the ball over much. We did a great job of going inside to (Jessica) Davenport.

INDIANA CENTER JESSICA DAVENPORT:
On her performance:
I felt pretty good today. We had some resting up to the game. So physically I felt good. I kind of let the game come to me. They double-teamed a lot early. I was able to move the ball so people on the weak side could get open shots. Towards the end of the game they started playing single coverage and I was able to get my game going down low.

INDIANA FORWARD TANGELA SMITH:
On getting balanced scoring:
We have the best depth in the league. We can go from one through eleven and play all of our players. And some players coming off the bench could easily start on other teams. We just have a good balance overall and it’s hard to defend that.
