On the end of regulation:
That was one of the craziest minutes or 23 seconds that we have been a part of. A technical, then a foul, without the ball being inbounded and everything that happened. In a way we shot ourselves in the foot a little bit in regulation. At the same time we had a chance in overtime and that’s what we talked about. Heading into overtime we talked about letting go what happened in the first 40 minutes and just play that five.
On forcing 24 turnovers:
The Mercury are a team that don’t want to turn the ball over. To them, they would rather shoot it than turn it over.

It was nice and it was cool for her to just be in here. Nobody else could say that she came to talk to them. She talked about being champions and making people around you better in any game you play. If you’re going to try to be a great player, great players make people around them better.
On forcing Candice Dupree into seven turnovers:
It worked out to our favor. We always try to have a defense that collapses and makes it hard for any post player to dig and to make them think about where we are, instead of concentrating on that move.

On returning to Phoenix for the first time:
It was a good experience for me. I actually wasn’t nervous or anything. I was just really calm because Phoenix was really good to me and I loved it here and I still love it here. It’s a quality organization and I love the fans; they are the greatest.

On the game:
We’re not playing well. The turnovers are something that hurts us more than other teams. It’s going to take some time to gel. We fought back to get back into the game, had a last-second shot. We designed for Penny (Taylor) to go one-on-one off the pick-and-roll. They covered, we kicked, kicked, got an open shot, got the rebound again, DB (DeWanna Bonner) shot from the ground. The game was kind of crazy; fouls here, fouls there. They played well.
On turnover problems:
We’re getting a lot of uncharacteristic turnovers. It’s not like it’s ball pressure or anything, just some strange turnovers. I have to watch the film closer and find out what it is, but it’s killing us.
On DeWanna Bonner:
I was saying to the coaches at halftime, ‘If we didn’t have DB we’d be down by 12 or 15 right now.’ She’s coming into her own; she’s playing the three and the four. I just told her to be aggressive, she’s active. We’ve been working with her on her crossover; it's working. She’s only going to get better. She’s going to have the whole package pretty soon; she’s going to be dangerous.

On the game:
We just came out and attacked. Unfortunately we came up with a loss, but I think we’re only going to get better from here. We had too many turnovers that killed us towards the end. All credit toward Seattle, they played a good game. We just have to get back to practice and get focused.
On developing her game:
I went overseas and tried to work on my guard play: shoot threes, get to the basket, and pull-up jumpers. I just tried to get a variety in my game.

On the difference in the game:
We have to take care of the ball. I know for myself, I turned the ball over too much. Just have to push the ball down the floor a little bit more. Then rely for the rest on our half-court offense and box out.
On positives from the game:
As a whole, we didn’t play our best basketball and we were able to go into overtime and fight back and hang with them. We can only get better from here.
