BRIAN AGLER:
On the importance of the win:
I didn’t know what the urgency level was in New York, but I know that we are still trying to fight out in the West and we still have a chance at first place. I am just happy we still have a chance at winning the Western Conference.
On the difference in the fourth quarter:
We started to move better without the basketball. We got some offensive boards, some stick-backs and got to the free throw line a lot. We started to get more aggressive.

Janell (Burse) all started to get to the line and we hit some timely shots.

On the game:
Wins right now are really big for us, so tonight was really good. It wasn’t pretty, but I will take it. It was one of those weird games where, like I said, it wasn’t pretty and wasn’t a very high-scoring game, but neither team could really take the lead. We just kind of hung around and as time went on, we were still there, hanging around, and then it got to a point where we just had to make a couple of plays and a lot of us were able to do that.
On hitting big shots:
I guess that when a game is on the line, it is just something that I have been doing my whole life and it is a position I feel comfortable in. It is not always me making the plays, but being able to give my teammates some confidence and them giving me confidence in return to make those plays. That is really what it is all about.

SHANNON JOHNSON:
On the game:
You have to play well when you are on the road. This team is so good. They are a team that is trying to get into the Playoffs, so we knew they were going to come out strong and we just tried to stay together, and we were able to win in the end. I feel like a lot of players just stepped up today, like Camille Little having a double-double, Sue Bird hitting big shots in the end, big rebounds from different players, and we just stayed together as a team.

On the game:
I think it was a basketball game where both teams struggled to shoot the ball. We just never did catch fire and shoot the ball well. It became a defensive struggle and great players make great plays. Sue made some great plays down the stretch. She realized that there was a mismatch and Kia (Vaughn) was on her and she took advantage of that mismatch - that was a huge bucket.
On the Liberty attempting 27 threes:
That’s Shameka’s game. We are confident that she is going to knock the next one down, so that is not an issue for me. With regards to other people, we need to be a little more patient. Our approach is inside-out, to look inside and then kick it out to the shooters, but neither team shot the ball well tonight.
On Vaughn:
There were some key errors that a rookie makes in a situation like that in a tight game and unfortunately she was put in the position of having to make plays at a difficult time for us. Hopefully she will learn and grow from it.

On whether this loss was especially frustrating:
We put them on the free throw line and down the stretch we gave up some key offensive rebounds, which can’t happen, so I think it was a combination of the two. It was, especially because of what’s at stake and, you know, what we wanted to do was to keep our playoff hopes alive.
On the Storm's defense:
Whenever I sit and think about the other team’s defense I really don’t want to say tonight that they made us do things we didn’t want to do. We have to knock down shots and just execute our offense and I think that the mistakes that we made we within our offense was on us, it was nothing that they did.
