On
We had the Detroit coaches - (Bill) Laimbeer and some of the other coaches - tell us she looks like she was three or four years ago. She's just one of the great competitors in the league. She's improved her offensive abilities; she's knocking some shots down from the perimeter now, but she's just a real competitive person. It comes out both at the offensive end and at the defensive end.
On opening up the post rotation:
I don't know if it was the lead so much as it was the foul trouble.
Lauren (Jackson) got five fouls;
Camille (Little) had five. They keep rotating their post players, so we thought this would be a good opportunity for us to do that. We had some people step up and do a good job for us.
On
Janell Burse's play:
I think that all of our players have to make some improvements, including her, but I thought that she gave us a great effort.

On the Storm's defense:
Since Brian's arrival, defense has been the mantra. It's something that we really depend upon. There are games when, for whatever reason, we go into offensive lulls where we can't buy a basket. Our defense is what keeps us in games, and most times it's what wins us games. You saw that the last two games.

On her game:
I just feel like I'm a better me. I don't think too much about trying to be exactly like I was a couple of years ago; hopefully I can be better than that. That's my goal and I just try to do that every game.
On the Monarchs:
Sacramento's a tough team to play against. They have that defense that really overplays. They force you to do things that are unorthodox, that you don't normally do on offense, but I thought at the end of the day we made the plays down the stretch, stayed aggressive, stuck to the gameplan and were able to get a win.
On the Storm's defense:
I felt like
Tanisha Wright and myself really took it upon ourselves after those couple of losses to really say we've got to set a tone defensively and have a presence out there. I just take it as a personal challenge.
