On starting well:
Well, we've done it two out of four times. I guess I would like to be a little bit more consistent with that. We'll see. I think as the season goes and we start getting better, hopefully we can get on the road and be fresh and those things will carry over.
On the benefit of a week off:
I think when we practice, we get better. I think we improved. We had three days of practice there. We play two games, then we'll get another set of three practices next week and then we'll play some more. It always helps.
On
Janell Burse's game:
Janell's playing well. She started coming on in that road trip. She gives us quality minutes. She played well. She made a heck of a pass to Shannon in transition. She's defending well. She and everybody else, we've really got to be conscious of our rebounding.
On shooting 72.7 percent in the first half:
I wish we could do that every night. Unfortunately, I know we can't. That without question was the reason we had our lead at halftime.

On the team starting well:
Not only do we feed off each other, we feed off the crowd. It's an energy level that they kind of put in us. We were able to roll with us tonight. It's true - when you see one of your teammates playing well and hitting shots, it's contagious. I think everybody really played well.
On watching the fourth quarter from the bench:
Any rest is good, so I'll definitely take it. Not only that, but for someone like Suzy (Batkovic-Brown) who came in late and is still getting her feet wet, it was a great opportunity for her to get out there and get the jitters out. I know as the season goes on she's definitely going to be a big part of the team.

On watching the fourth quarter from the bench:
I love it. I wish it would happen all the time. That's when your team is playing well - when your coach doesn't play you the last quarter. It was awesome. It's good to see the other girls getting a run too.
On the Lynx:
Seimone Augustus is one of the best players in the league. Any player that's lost like that to a team, it's deflating. Those guys have enough talent to win games, so they've just got to regroup and find other ways to win games. It's hard, but I think they'll rally.

On Augustus' reaction:
She is in better spirits than she was (on Thursday). She was more talkative this time. You couldn’t get a word out of her before because she was so upset. I think she’s kind of accepted it a little bit and is starting to think about the future. She said she wants to be with this team and wants to support this team and she’s going to be there at every practice, which shows a lot of character for her. We’re going to need her. She may not be in uniform, but we’ll still need her presence. She said she would be there for us.
On the team being shell-shocked without Augustus:
Oh yeah. When you relied on 30 points a game … that’s a lot of points to lose. And you can’t rely on role players who have been playing five or six minutes to come in and score 30. It’s impossible. Like I said, I’m optimistic … I wanted it, but it’s impossible in one day. We just need time. I saw a lot of promise in Rashanda McCants tonight, which is a great sign. That just showed me that we do have hope. I think she’s the type of player that may not give us 30 points, but she’s going to give us a lot both on the offensive and defensive end.
