Following a furious comeback, the Storm had several opportunities to tie Game 3 of the 2006 First Round series with Los Angeles in the closing minutes, but could not hit the big shot necessary to come all the way back from a 14-point deficit. The Sparks 68-63 win gave them the series 2-1, as the Storm was unable to steal a win at the STAPLES Center after winning Game 1 of the series in commanding fashion at KeyArena.

THE LOCKE BLOG |
Storm play-by-play broadcaster David Locke blogs all the Storm happenings throughout the playoffs:
Confidence From Practice - "Sue Bird is gong to play. That is the best news of the day. Sue and I chatted as a part of today’s StormCast, co-hosted by Karen Bryant. Sue is in good spirits and looking at her you would have no idea that anything happened to the nose. Sue insists that she can tell it is a little different than usual."
