Lauren Jackson, storm.wnba.com | December 17, 2007
After spending the final two months of her 2007 off-season in Russia, Seattle Storm forward Lauren Jackson has joined Storm teammate Sue Bird, Phoenix Mercury All-Star Diana Taurasi and several other WNBA players for a full season of playing for Spartak. Jackson checked in from Russia with a look at life overseas and her reaction to Anne Donovan's resignation as Storm head coach.

"Me and Sue."

"Hangin' with the UConn girls."

"Sue and our driver Sasha. He is the best! He gets us everywhere on time, anytime!"
Hey all,

Season's greetings from Vidnoe!! Well as it's almost time to head home for Christmas, I thought it would be a fine time to drop a short note and tell you all how much you're missed over here.

I have been here for a month and a half now, playing in the Russian SuperLeague and Euroleague. It has been a lot of fun and, as expected, our team is getting better each game.

Socially, of course we are making the most of the "Russian experience" as well. Living with my two mates who have spent quite a lot of time in Russia over the past few years, they are showing me the hot spots for shopping, fine dining and the occasional "night out" with the girls.

Sue and Diana both speak a little of the language (Sue more than Diana), which is very impressive, I have learned about four words - so I just keep quiet for fear of embarrassing myself and those around me! LOL!

Now back to the Storm! Best wishes to Anne. It will be sad to see her go, she will be missed by the organization and the players, but we have to move on. It should be a very exciting time for Storm fans, players and all the people working behind the scenes to make this franchise better.

On that note, I'll leave you to a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.

Until then
Paka!
Lj xx
