Betty Lennox to a multi-year contract, Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel 
Anne Donovan announced.
Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The sixth overall pick in the 2000 WNBA Draft, Lennox averaged 22.3 points per game in the 2004 WNBA Finals to lead the Storm to the WNBA Championship. The league title marked the franchise’s first and the city’s first professional sports title since the 1979 Seattle Sonics captured the NBA Championship.

“Betty played a pivotal role in our playoff runs over the past two seasons and I look forward to her performance this season as a key member of the Storm roster,” Donovan said. “Her return to Seattle is critical for us as we look to stay among the WNBA’s elite.”
Lennox finished the 2004 season as the third-highest scorer on the Storm roster behind 
Lauren Jackson and 
Sue Bird, averaging 11.2 points per game. Lennox was also the second-leading rebounder on the Storm roster behind Jackson, averaging 5.0 boards per game.
“I’m glad to be back in Seattle playing before our amazing Storm fans,” said Lennox. “The fans in Seattle make me feel so welcome, and I perform at my best when they’re with me. I’m at home with the Storm organization, and will be ready to go for training camp in April.”
Lennox was the only rookie chosen by the league’s coaches for the 2000 WNBA All-Star Game and was the only rookie selected to the 2000 All-WNBA Second Team. That same season, she was named WNBA Rookie of the Year.
The Storm will open their 2006 season against Western Conference rival Los Angeles at KeyArena on Sunday, May 21 at 6 p.m. The following Tuesday, May 23, Seattle will host the Houston Comets at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
