Johnson, 31, was assigned by the WNBA to the Cleveland Rockers in 1997 after a standout career at Ohio State University. She was selected by the Orlando Miracle in the 1999 WNBA Expansion Draft.

During her last WNBA season, 2003, Johnson averaged 5.1 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. She scored a season-high 15 points at Phoenix on July 19 and scored 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting during the Sun's Game 1 victory over the Charlotte Sting during the 2003 Playoffs.
In June 2001, Johnson was named the WNBA's first-ever Hometown Hero award winner for her work in the Orlando community during the previous off-season.
The Storm will open the 2005 WNBA season on Saturday, May 21 against Western Conference rival the Los Angeles Sparks at KeyArena.

The Seattle Sonics & Storm manages the Puget Sound region’s professional basketball franchises – the NBA’s Seattle SuperSonics and the WNBA’s Seattle Storm. The organization oversees all sales, marketing, finance, public relations, broadcast production and basketball operations for the teams. The Basketball Club of Seattle LLC owns both teams.
