Jackson averaged 23.3 ppg and 10.3 rpg while shooting 54.0 percent from the field and 92.0 percent from behind the free-throw line as Seattle posted a 2-1 mark during the week. She poured in 33 points on 11-for-20 shooting in a 94-76 win over Chicago on June 26, her fifth 30-point effort already this season and the 13th of her career. With five 30-point outings already in the Storm’s first 15 games, Jackson is on pace for 11 30-point games this season (the WNBA record is eight). Jackson also recorded her league-leading sixth and seventh double-doubles of the season during the week.

A seven-year veteran and the league’s MVP in 2003, Jackson is enjoying one of her finest statistical seasons. She currently leads the league in scoring (22.7 ppg), rebounding (9.1 rpg) and blocked shots (1.93 bpg), while ranking sixth in field-goal percentage (.511) and seventh in free-throw percentage (.911). Jackson also ranks 10th in three-point percentage (.407), making her the only player in the league to rank among the top-10 in all three shooting categories.

The Chicago Sky’s Jia Perkins was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week. Other candidates for Player of the Week were Indiana’s Tamika Whitmore, Phoenix’s Penny Taylor, Sacramento’s Rebekkah Brunson, San Antonio’s Erin Buescher and Washington’s Alana Beard.
