After conquering her native Australia and the U.S., Lauren Jackson has found a new country to terrorize. After adjusting to the style of play in the South Korean WKBL, Jackson has been dominant for her Samsung Bichumi club, culminating in Sunday's record 56 points in Sunday's 96-76 win over the Kumho Redwings.

Jackson's 56 points are the most ever scored in WKBL play, surpassing the previous high of 50 by former Storm forward Sheri Sam, playing for Kumho in 2002. They're also the most points Jackson has ever scored at the professional level. She scored 48 for Canberra in the WNBL in 2003. Her WNBA career high is 35, set last May in Phoenix.

At first, Jackson started a bit slowly, at least given her high standards.

"The pace is a lot faster in the WKBL," she told The Korea Times after her debut. "The girls here are so much quicker."

Jackson has quickly adjusted. She had 47 points in another recent outing in Korea and currently leads the WKBL in scoring at 30.8 points per game. Jackson's 13.4 rebounds rank third in the league behind Katie Feenstra (16.6) and Yolanda Griffith (14.6). She ranks in the WKBL's top five in 12 different categories. The most encouraging for Storm fans might be minutes per game - Jackson is averaging over 37 minutes a night.

Jackson was also the unanimous choice for MVP of the WKBL All-Star Game, played last month, after leading all players with 39 points and 19 rebounds. Jackson's South squad defeated the Central team 106-94.
