Storm Signs Greenwalt

SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm today signed 6-5 center Cisti Greenwalt, Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Anne Donovan announced. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Greenwalt was originally selected by the Sacramento Monarchs in the third round (35th pick overall) of the 2005 WNBA Draft and was waived prior to the start of the 2005 WNBA season. She signed a free-agent contract with the Monarchs on Feb. 9, 2006 and appeared in two preseason games this spring, averaging 2.5 ppg, 2.0 rpg and 1.0 apg, before being waived on May 18.

Greenwalt played for the San Jose Spiders of the NWBL this offseason, averaging 17.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 30.1 minutes per game while shooting 55.4 percent from the field. The Texas Tech alum averaged 9.1 points and 6.5 rebounds in 121 games for the Lady Raiders, finishing her career as the Big 12 Conference and Texas Tech all-time leader in career blocked shots (300).
