SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm will emphasize its Go Green partnerships during Go Green Night Presented by Carter Subaru, Tuesday, June 1, 6:30 p.m. vs. the Atlanta Dream at KeyArena. Storm players will be dressed in away “green” uniforms rather than their home whites, and will wear shooting shirts made of 100 percent organic cotton.
The first 50 fans to bring and recycle their unwanted mobile phones receive a free T-shirt. Fans can also bring their unwanted mobile phones to any T-Mobile® retail store location for recycling. T-Mobile’s MobilizeSM initiative is devoted to making a positive impact on the environment. To find out more about MobilizeSM visit mobilizewitht-mobile.com.
In addition, fans can learn more about how to reduce their carbon footprint emissions from Carter Subaru at the KeyArena West Plaza prior to the game. Carter will be joined by the Woodland Park Zoo, Goodwill, and T-Mobile on the West Plaza starting at 5 p.m.
Go Green Night will be televised on ESPN2 as part of the WNBA and T-Mobile’s Green Week, highlighting the Storm’s participation and leadership in the campaign since 2008. Other Storm partners that share the team’s values in this campaign include Carter Subaru, Seattle Goodwill, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, T-Mobile and the Mountains to Sound Greenway.
“By renewing our commitment to the Go Green initiative we launched in 2008, the Storm is proud to continue working with our region’s citizens, governments and businesses in an effort to reduce our collective environmental footprint,” said Storm Chief Executive Officer Karen Bryant.
The Storm’s Go Green partners will provide the following benefits and information this season designed to inspire all Storm fans to make environmentally friendly choices:
