Storm Selects Fluker in Dispersal Draft

SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm today announced the selection of center
Fluker was originally selected by Charlotte in the first round (10th pick overall) of the 2006 WNBA Draft and averaged 2.5 points and 2.1 rebounds in 31 games during her rookie season with the Sting.
“We are really excited about acquiring Fluker in today’s Dispersal Draft,” Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel
Anne Donovan said. “Tye’sha is a great addition to our roster and I’m looking forward to her development as a strong post player.”

On Thursday, Jan. 4, the Storm announced its 34-game schedule for the 2007 WNBA regular season, the franchise’s eighth year in the league. Highlights of the 2007 Storm schedule, which begins in May, include 10 weekend games against the best in the WNBA such as Los Angeles Sparks, Houston Comets, Indiana Fever and Washington Mystics.
The 2007 Storm season will open against the Houston Comets on Saturday, May 19, at 7 p.m. The following Wednesday, May 23, Seattle will host the Phoenix Mercury at 7 p.m. at KeyArena. The defending WNBA Champion Detroit Shock will visit KeyArena on Wednesday, June 20.
