SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm announced today that two of its starting five players will not be with the team on their road trip to Minnesota and Detroit on Tuesday and Thursday of this week.

Lauren Jackson has returned to her native Australia to be with an ill family member. She is expected to return to Seattle on Friday and play in Saturday’s home game vs. Washington at KeyArena. Jackson is averaging 23.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.00 blocks per game in another MVP-caliber season. She was named MVP of the league in 2003.
