SEATTLE
- Storm center Janell Burse is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair damaged ligaments in her left wrist on Tuesday, Aug. 14, the team announced today. Dr. Carleton Keck will perform the surgery.

JB has been playing with pain these last few games and the doctors have advised us that, while playing with the injury in the short term wont cause further damage, playing on it over a period longer than three weeks could stunt the healing process, Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Anne Donovan said. Its difficult to lose a starter this late in the season, but JBs long-term health is our top priority and all parties involved agree that this is the correct decision.
