Bird’s accomplishments continue to grow as she now adds Superleague title to the Euroleague crown Spartak won earlier this season. She also has a WNBA Championship with the Storm in 2004, a gold medal in the Olympics and two NCAA titles at the University of Connecticut.

“We’re very excited that Sue is back in Seattle and that we have her under contract,” said Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Anne Donovan. “She brings a wealth of championship experience with her back to the Storm. She’s won at every level, and she is coming back with a lot of momentum after winning the Superleague in Russia. It feels like things are starting to fall into place with our entire roster in tact.”

As per team policy, terms of her new contract with the Storm were not released
