Top Ten Storm Moments of 2002

1. Coach Lin Dunn leads Seattle to its first-ever playoff appearance. Seattle earns the fourth seed after finishing the season 17-15.

2. Seattle posts a 7-2 record in its last nine games to overtake Portland for the final playoff spot.

3. Sue Bird scores team-record 33 points to lead the Storm past the Fire in a must-win game on Aug. 9.

4. Bird and Lauren Jackson represent the Storm at the WNBA All-Star Game in Washington.

5. Bird is named First Team All-WNBA, finishing fourth overall in the voting.

6. Dunn finishes second in the voting for the WNBA Coach of the Year.

7. The Storm sells out the last four regular season games and their only home playoff game against the L.A. Sparks.

8. The Storm defeats the defending WNBA Champion L.A. Sparks twice, 79-60 at KeyArena on Jul. 11 and 81-76 at the Staples Center on Aug. 1.

9. Michelle Marciniak hits a last-second jumper to beat the Orlando Miracle in dramatic fashion on 6/27. Marciniak scored 18 points in the 73-71 win.

10. The Storm score a franchise-record 90 points at Phoenix on Jun. 14.
