SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm today activated forward Lauren Jackson and placed rookie forward Trina Frierson on the injured list with chronic left knee effusion.

Jackson, the reigning WNBA MVP, leads the league in scoring with an average of 20.6 points per game. She missed the last three games on the injured list due to a right mid-foot sprain. Jackson will return to the lineup for tonight’s game against Detroit, marking her first Storm game since Aug. 1.

Frierson, the Storm’s only 2004 draft pick, has appeared in five games this season.

Tonight’s Storm game against the Detroit Shock will be broadcast on Sports Radio 950 KJR AM with David Locke providing the play-by-play and Elise Woodward serving as the game analyst.

Tickets for tonight's game and the other two remaining home games – Sept. 15 vs. Phoenix and Sept. 18 vs. Los Angeles – can be purchased by logging on to storm.wnba.com, by calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX or by visiting any Ticketmaster location including the Sonics & Storm Team Shop at 312 First Ave. N.
