Well, that ruins the question about whether you'd heard any rumors of a deal.
Burse: Nope.
What do you know about the Storm, having played against them in the Western Conference?
Burse: Just that they're really fundamental. They run plays well. They rebounded pretty good. When you play against them, there are not too many mental lapses. Even if you had a lead, you couldn't feel comfortable against them. Especially with stars like Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson out there.
What do you think the Storm can do this season after this trade?
Burse: I definitely think we're going to the playoffs. I want to say we can win the championship, but I don't want to jinx it. I think this is going to be a great year, and I'm very excited about it.
Are you excited about having the chance to work with Anne Donovan?
Burse: Definitely. I can't wait. She's going to have to put up with me, because I'm going to be waiting after practice if we don't get enough work done during practice.
Have you talked with the coaching staff about your role yet?
Burse: No, we haven't gotten that far.
It seems like you'll probably be coming off the bench. Will that be tough after starting at the end of last season?
Burse: If that does end up happening, I don't think it will bother me. That was the role I had played most of my career before last season.
Was it just a matter of getting a chance to be a starter?
Burse: That was really the only difference. It's not even starting, just getting regular minutes.
