On winning without Kamila Vodichkova:
We all recognize that we’re playing a little bit better and a little bit smarter in Kamila’s absence now. So I think we’re gaining more confidence, just like it took us a while to recover after Adia (Barnes was injured).
On the finale against Sacramento:
Sacramento is one of the best teams in the league. Since they made the coaching change, they are one of the best teams in the league, we’re well aware of that. And they’ll challenge for sure in the Western Conference. It’s a game in where we’ll put everything out there, where we have nothing to lose. Hopefully we’ll have another great crowd behind us and we can put it all out there and hopefully come up with a win.

On the KeyArena crowd:
I’m so happy that Seattle is embracing us. For them to come out tonight after we are out of the playoffs is incredible. It felt really good. We just went out and played and tried to enjoy it. Houston is on a bit of a losing streak now so we tried to take advantage of it. We’ve got nothing to lose so we just go out there and play.
On Simone Edwards’ play:
I just told her to go out there and be aggressive and be comfortable because she’s got skills, that’s the bottom line and she did t tonight. I just told her to go out there, have fun, and do what you do best.
On the finale against Sacramento:
They’re a great team. I think they come out of the West and take the Western Conference championship. We’re just going to go out and play like we did tonight. We have nothing to lose so we’re just doing it for the fans now. Just pride. We’re going to go out and enjoy it.

On her play:
I go in there and try to go hard. I know I might miss one or two shots but I just need to go hard. It felt so good. Go hard or don’t go at all.

On the Storm’s play:
With Seattle eliminated, you’ve got to give them a ton of credit. They came in here and played with a lot of emotion. Their fans provided them tremendous support and put them over the top. That’s what makes the WNBA so special. Lauren and Sue (Bird) played extremely well for the Storm, give them special credit as well.

On missing out on home-court advantage:
It seems like that’s kind of what you play for, but we lost today so it puts us in a position where we’re going to stay in second place and have home-court advantage in the first round and then have to fight for whoever comes net. You play to put yourself in a certain position and losing tonight we’ve put ourselves in a position that we necessarily didn’t want to be in going into the playoffs, but those are the breaks and we have to play from this point on.
On the matchup with Jackson:
It’s always competitive. Lauren is young and very talented. To be 6-5, she’s very versatile and I think that she’s a tremendous player. She comes with a lot of intensity and fire every single game. We play this game to compete and she’s a competitor.
