Storm Takes Duke Duo, Ibekwe
The Storm added three talented young players in the 2011 WNBA Draft, none better than first-round pick Jasmine Thomas. The Duke guard has won MVP of the ACC Tournament each of the last two years. Initially, it did not appear Thomas would be available with the 12th pick, but the Storm was pleasantly surprised when she dropped. Later, the Storm took her college teammate Krystal Thomas, a 6-4 center, with the draft's final pick. In between, the Storm's second-round pick was Arizona forward Ify Ibekwe, a two-time Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year.
