Kevin Pelton, storm.wnba.com | April 4, 2006
Taking a look at each team's needs and the best players available, storm.wnba.com predicts who will end up going where tomorrow morning. This mock draft is for recreational use only, and always keep in mind storm.wnba.com's mock draft guarantee: All predictions right, wrong or your money back. (See, you don't pay anything to read this you get the picture.)

F Seimone Augustus
Augustus' NCAA career didn't end how she would have liked it to, but expect her to start her WNBA career in style tomorrow.
G Cappie Pondexter
Yes, but could there be a trade?.
F/G Monique Currie
Some talk recently that Sophia Young is the player here, but Currie is a better fit for many reasons. Both could be NCAA Champions by evening's end.
F Sophia Young
No-brainer.
G Sherill Baker
Lots of Candice Dupree talk, but Baker and Lisa Willis are the best fit for L.A.'s needs.
F Candice Dupree
Looks like she's going in the lottery. Is Chicago the destination?
G Erin Grant
Why Grant over Duffy? Amber Jacobs already gives Minnesota similar skills to Duffy, but nobody on the Lynx roster can distribute it like Grant.
F La'Tangela Atkinson
Richie Adubato says he wants a backup small forward, and I'm inclined to take him at his word, especially with Atkinson still on the board.
C Tye'sha Fluker
One of just two picks after the top four I'm sticking with. Fluker seems like the fit here.
G Nikki Blue
Apparently shooting up the Draft boards, Blue can share minutes immediately with Helen Darling and give a very different look at the point.
F Ann Strother
Anne Donovan sounds like she wants a small forward, and Strother's size and shooting would be nice assets.
G Lisa Willis
I still like New York looking to fill the shooting-guard spot, and Willis would be fine value here.
G Tamara James
I like Tamara James, but I can't seem to find a way to push her any higher in my mock drafts than this spot.
F Barbara Turner
Turner's stock has gone up, up, up with her NCAA Tournament performance, her play in the WBCA All-Star Game and more solid play at the Pre-Draft Camp.
