Washington State Senator Jeanne Kohl-Welles, who represents the 36th Legislative District including Queen Anne, annually introduces legislation in the State Senate to recognize National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Storm Director of Basketball Operations Missy Bequette traveled to Olympia as a guest of Sen. Kohl-Welles and afterward had a chance to speak with her about the importance of women's athletics.
