The Seattle Storm took time out from preparing for Tuesday's Game 2 of the WNBA Finals (6:00 p.m., ESPN2, 1150 AM KKNW,
) to host a WNBA FIT clinic for 75 students from Seattle's Roxhill Elementary School Monday morning at KeyArena.
The youngsters learned about fitness and nutrition, rotating through four stations on the floor at the Key and doing drills with and without basketballs. Storm players
Sue Bird,
Tanisha Wright,
Swin Cash,
Camille Little and
Lauren Jackson led the drills with assistance from Head Coach
Brian Agler, CEO Karen Bryant and other local sports figures. Matt Tuiasosopo from the Mariners and Boston Celtics guard Nate Robinson, both Seattle-area natives, participated in the clinic. So too did WNBA President Donna Orender and retired WNBA star Jennifer Azzi, who is a spokeswoman for the WNBA Cares initiative.
Check out a series of photos from the event taken by Storm photographer Aaron Last.
