Gallery: Cash for Kids Events

Aug. 22, 2011

Storm forward Swin Cash kicked off her Cash for Kids charity's involvement in the Seattle community with a pair of events over the last week. Cash for Kids hosted 45 local girls of middle school age from the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County’s InfluenceHer Program.

On Thursday, the girls met Storm players at a luncheon at Seattle Pacific University before heading to Target for a Shopping Spree to purchase clothing for the new school year with the assistance of InfluenceHer mentors and Storm players. On Sunday, they participated in a Scavenger Stroll through downtown Seattle, going from City Hall to the downtown Nordstrom with stops at the Seattle Public Library and Bartell Drugs while learning about fitness, nutrition and proper skin care and receiving a pair of Tom's shoes courtesy of Cash for Kids. They also got the chance to meet and be inspired by notable local female leaders.

Our photographer Neil Enns was there for both events. Check out some of the top photos from them.
