Gallery: Microsoft Campus Jam

April 30, 2012

On Saturday, April 28, the Storm traveled to the Microsoft Campus to participate in their annual Campus Jam event, a free event for Microsoft employees and their families. With players preparing for the start of training camp the next day, the Storm used this as the opportunity to provide some free basketball clinics with our players and coaches. Throughout the day, the Storm team ran four clinics with over 220 kids of all ages participating!

Fans had the chance to get autographs from two players new to the Storm this year. Tina Thompson, certainly no stranger to the WNBA, and Shekinna Stricklen, the Storm's #2 draft pick this year, signed autographs and took pictures with delighted fans.

Elsewhere, Victoria Dunlap and Alysha Clark challenged attendees to some classic pop-a-shot games, while some of the Storm's newest merchandise was on display. Doppler also made an appearance. Some fans gathered for pictures, while others were skeptical, not quite sure what to make of the Storm's furry red mascot.

Overall, with the help of some good weather, this turned out to be a great event for Storm Basketball, and the perfect kickoff to the 2012 season.
