This Week's Sonics & Storm Legends Tour Stop:
This Saturday (Oct. 21) at 11 a.m., join the Sonics at Powell Barnett Park (352 Martin Luther King Jr Way) as the Legends Tour honors the starting backcourt from the 1979 Championship team, All-Star guards Dennis Johnson and Gus Williams. The festivities include complimentary food and beverages, music, Sonics & Storm giveaways and a children’s basketball clinic led by Johnson and Williams. The Powell Barnett court was renovated by the Sonics & Storm Foundation NeighborHoops program. Click here for directions. |

Sonics & Storm Legends Tour Background
The Sonics & Storm Legends Tour is a season-long campaign honoring the Sonics 40 years in Seattle. The Sonics & Storm Legends Tour will conclude with a dedication, in the name of all Sonics and Storm fans, of the Sonics & Storm Foundation’s newest NeighborHoops court at Van Asselt Park.

The Sonics & Storm Foundation NeighborHoops program refurbishes dilapidated basketball courts throughout the state of Washington. Since its inception in 1998, NeighborHoops has renovated more than 20 courts including Pratt Park, Lakewood Boys & Girls Club, Everett Boys & Girls Club, Blaine Elementary School, White Center Community Center, East Central Community Center in Spokane and the Nate McMillan Court in Seattle.
