Storm Unveils First A.M.E. Reading and Learning Center

On Thursday, the Seattle Storm, WNBA Cares and Pitney Bowes teamed up to unveil the newly renovated Reading and Learning Center at the First A.M.E. Child and Family Center in Seattle. The Storm won the center as a part of the 2008 Fast Break to Reading Program sponsored by Pitney Bowes. Storm employees, led by Senior Community Relations Coordinator Chauntelle Johnson, then worked to complete the renovation last weekend. Players Sue Bird, Janell Burse, Swin Cash, Ashley Walker and Tanisha Wright as well as Head Coach Brian Agler joined Storm CEO Karen Bryant, WNBA legend Jennifer Azzi and Pitney Bowes Vice President, State and Local Government Alfie Charles to lead Thursday's event.

Check out a photo montage of the work done on the center over the weekend and the unveiling on Thursday which gave the children enrolled at First A.M.E. a chance to explore their new space and interact with Storm players and Doppler.
