Karen Bryant Speaker Bio

Karen Bryant, vice president of operations for the Seattle Storm, is responsible for overseeing business operations for the Seattle Storm including ticket sales, marketing and community relations. The Seattle Sonics & Storm hired Bryant after a tenure with the American Basketball League’s Seattle Reign which rooted her firmly into Seattle’s women’s basketball community. During the Reign’s inaugural season, she served as the team’s director of basketball operations before being promoted to assistant general manager. In February 1998, she became the Reign’s general manager.

Prior to joining the professional sports world, Bryant worked for NBBJ Architects and established a project management consultant company, KMB Associates, in 1993. Native to the Seattle area, Bryant was a standout athlete at Woodway High School and played basketball at Green River Community College, Seattle University and the University of Washington, where she majored in communications.

Bryant is an accomplished public speaker. She has spoken to large groups on the subjects of marketing, the evolution of women in sports and being a business women in the professional sports industry.
