Silver Stars Raise $61,200 for CHRISTUS Mobile Mammography Unit

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Silver Stars raised $61,200 in support of Breast Health Awareness by way of their annual jersey auction following the team’s victory against the Tulsa Shock on Saturday, Aug. 6 at the AT&T Center. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Systems Mobile Mammography Unit (MMU) which makes breast cancer screening convenient and affordable for women in Bexar and 16 surrounding counties.

Each Stars player auctioned her game-worn pink jersey in a live postgame auction. Three players – Danielle Adams, Becky Hammon and Danielle Robinson – added bonus gear to help raise more than $6,500 apiece. Head coach and general manager Dan Hughes auctioned his game-worn pink tie and the opportunity for the highest bidder to have a play in the Silver Stars playbook named after them while Tulsa Shock rookie center Liz Cambage auctioned her game-worn shoes.

Individual tickets for Silver Stars home games are available at all San Antonio Ticketmaster locations, including by phone at (210) 225-TEAM, or online at ticketmaster.com or sasilverstars.com.
