April 9, 2005: Silver Stars Players Show Off Their Skills In European Playoffs
It looks like Shannon ‘Pee Wee’ Johnson and her Wisla Can-Pack Krakow teammates are on a collision course to meet up with Gdynia in the Polish League Finals. Krakow took four games to get by AZS Poznan in the first round, but looked very impressive in their three wins. (click here for more)

March 19, 2005: Margo And Biba Looking Good In The Playoffs
While Marie Ferdinand and her Fenerbache have the next two weeks off before their FIBA Europe Cup Final Four matchup with ZKK Croatia, her Silver Stars teammates Margo Dydek and Agnieszka ‘Biba’ Bibrzycka are trying to get Lotos VBW Clima Gdynia back to the EuroLeague Final Four for the third time in four years. March 10, 2005: Marie Guides Fenerbache To Fiba Europe Cup Final Four

February 28, 2005: Biba Heats Up in Euroleague Playoffs
Gdynia showed they are going to be a hard team to beat in the playoffs by crushing MKS-Euroleasing Sopron (Hungary), 97-60, in the first game of their best-of-three series on Feb. 22. Biba was dominant finishing with a game-high 29 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in the win, while Margo posted another double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds in 38 minutes. February 17, 2005: A Quiet Week for the Silver Stars Abroad
It’s the calm before the storm. For many of the Silver Stars players overseas the past week was used for resting those aches and pains before the playoffs begin. With the qualifying round complete in FIBA EuroLeague, the seedings have been determined. (click here for more)

January 27, 2005: Ferdinand Carries Fenerbache to FIBA Europe Cup Final Four
It was another good week for the Silver Stars playing overseas. Since joining Fenerbache (Turkey) Marie Ferdinand has been on a tear. In a must win game against Ceyhan (Turkey) in the FIBA Europe Cup Conference South Playoffs, Ferdinand helped Fenerbache cruise to an 84-54 victory on Jan. 19, finishing with a team-high 18 points to go along with four rebounds. January 18, 2005: Adrian Williams Shines In Korea
While many of the Silver Stars players made the trip to Europe during the offseason to play basketball in countries like Poland, Turkey and Italy, Adrian Williams decided to take an even longer trip to Korea to work on her game. (click here for more)

January 11, 2005: Ferdinand Back on the Court
We hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and got a chance to take part in the online chat with Tai Dillard. During the break several Silver Stars players made their way abroad. The latest Silver Star to make the trip overseas is Marie Ferdinand. Marie is currently in Istanbul, Turkey, playing for Fenerbache in the Turkish Women’s League and the FIBA Europe Cup. In her first professional game since dislocating her right elbow in a game at Los Angeles on July 2, Marie tallied 18 points helping Fenerbache secure a 76-50 win over Orim Camspor in league play on Jan. 8. She will make her 2005 FIBA Europe Cup debut when Fenerbache takes on Ceyhan (Turkey) on Jan. 13 in the Conference South playoffs. (click here for more)

December 23: Biba Goes Into Holiday Break On A Roll
Since returning from a knee injury earlier this month Agnieszka ‘Biba’ Bibrzycka has been on fire. Over her last two games in EuroLeague action she has averaged 21.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. In her last three games in Polish League action she has averaged 22.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game. In Lotos Gdynia’s 85-57 win over AZS PWSZ TelecomMedia Gorzow Wlkp. on Dec. 18, Biba finished with a team-high 18 points to go along with six assists, four rebounds and two assists. December 20: Manny Helps Bnot Raanana Hertzliya Get Back On Winning Track
After starting the season 3-1 Bnot Raanana Hertzliya dropped three straight before posting back-to-back wins to improve their record to 5-3. Silver Stars forward Mandisa Stevenson finished with nine points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks Hertzliya’s 62-53 win over Hapoel Tel Aviv on Dec. 13. Three nights later she posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in Hertzliya’s 61-49 win over Tai Dillard and Maccabi Tel Kabir. (click here for more)

December 10: Pee Wee Takes Home Week 5 Eudroleague MVP Honors
It was an action packed week for Silver Stars players overseas and Shannon ‘Pee Wee’ Johnson led the charge by being named Week 5 EuroLeague MVP. While Pee Wee was helping Krakow post back-to-back wins, Angnieszka ‘Biba’ Bibrzycka, Margo Dydek and their Lotos Gdynia teammates had their hands full against FIBA World Champions VBM-SGAU Samara of Russia. December 1: Nev Yilmaz Has Pool Comense Back on Winning Track
After dropping three straight games, Pool Comense posted back-to-back wins thanks in large part to the impressive play of Nev Yilmaz. In her last outing on Nov. 28, Yilmaz led Comense to a 78-53 win over Profexional Bolzano by recording her second consecutive double-double with a team-high 16 points and 13 rebounds. Novermber 22: Dillard Continues to Dazzle in Israel
While Tai Dillard may be a key player off the bench for the Silver Stars, she is emerging as a star in the making for Maccabi Tel Kabir in the Israeli Basketball League. In her only game last week, Dillard filled up the score sheet with 13 points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals to help Maccabi defeat ASA Jerusalem 86-60. For the season Dillard is averaging a team-leading 17.5 points, 5.0 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. (click here for more)

Novermber 15: Margo and Biba Shine in 2005 Euroleague Debut
It was a busy week for the Silver Stars players spending their offseason overseas. Margo Dydek and Agnieszka ‘Biba’ Bibrzycka played their first game in EuroLeague play on Wednesday and followed that up with a Polish League game on Saturday. (click here for more)

Novermber 8: Dillard and Stevenson Leading the Way in Israel
In the second week of play Dillard guided Maccabi Tel Kabir to their first win of the season defeating Hapoel Tel Aviv 69-64. The San Antonio native scored a team-high 19 points to go along with four assists. Her efforts earned her a spot on the Isreali League First Team for the week. (click here for more)

November 2: Euroleague Play Kicks Off This Week
Several key players from the 2004 Silver Stars will be participating in this year’s EuroLeague competition. Agnieszka ‘Biba’ Bibrzycka and Margo Dydek are playing for Lotos VBW Clima Gydnia from Poland. The Polish duo helped guide Gydnia to the EuroLeague Championship Game in 2002 and 2004, but have yet to capture the title. Shannon ‘Pee Wee’ Johnson is playing for Wisla Can-Pack Krakow. October 28 - Dydek and ‘Biba’ Lead Lotos Gydnia Past ‘Pee Wee’ and Wisla Can-Pack Krakow
Margo Dydek returned to her homeland of Poland to join Agnieszka ‘Biba’ Bibrzycka and the rest of her Lotos Gydnia teammates just in time to take on Shannon ‘Pee Wee’ Johnson and Wisla Can-Pack Krakow. In her first game of the season, Dydek showed her dominance by tallying 17 points, nine rebounds and four blocks leading Lotos Gydnia past Krakow 81-71. ‘Biba’ made her presence felt by adding 16 points and two assists. Unfortunately for Krakow ‘Pee Wee’ sat out of the game with an injury. (click here for more)

October 19: Silver Stars Offseason Update
The 2004 WNBA season came to a close earlier this month with the Seattle Storm capturing the WNBA title, but for many WNBA players another basketball season is just getting started. This offseason nearly all of the Silver Stars players from the 2004 team will play basketball on foreign soil. Several players have already made their way across the pond while others are still figuring out where they want to play. (click here for more)
