A three-time WNBA All-Star selection, Young led the Silver Stars in rebounds (7.2) and steals per game (2.24) in 2012. The seventh-year veteran headlines the All-Defensive Second-Team with 22 points and two First-Team votes.

It marks the first career All-Defensive honor for Robinson, who received 17 points and one First-Team vote. The second-year pro led the league in assist to turnover ratio (2.70) and ranked third on the team in steals per game (1.35) in 2012.

Connecticut Sun center Tina Charles (21 points, three First-Team votes), Atlanta Dream guard Armintie Price (18, three) and Los Angeles Sparks forward Candace Parker (15, three), round out the All-Defensive Second-Team.

Indiana Fever forward Tamika Catchings, the 2011 WNBA MVP, earned Defensive Player of the Year honors, presented by Boost Mobile. Catchings received 50 votes from a national panel of 41 sports writers and broadcasters. The Silver Stars host the Sparks in Game 2 of the best-of-three series on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. in the Freeman Coliseum.
