We took a seven day road trip and it was really a lot of fun. It felt like AAU all over again! Traveling from city to city was almost like tournament to tournament but it was just game to game. Luckily I knew people everywhere we went on the trip.

In Chicago I was able to see some family and in Atlanta I was able reconnect with Courtney (Paris) and assistant coach Stacy Hansmeyer. It was great to have dinner with them and really talk about how life is now. I don’t get to see them every day now when you’re used to spending so much time with them, they become your sister.

Then we made it to New York, and wow! Times Square was definitely busy and they’re right, people never sleep there! But it was a great experience! I hung with my fellow rookies and we went to dinner and met a few of the Liberty players we knew too.

Of course I spent some money while I was in New York, so I hope my mom doesn’t read this diary. But I’m sure she’ll notice with my wardrobe change and wearing different stuff after the games.

It was definitely a lot of fun but we also learned a lot about ourselves as a team. Even though we lost the last one we have time to rest now and look forward to getting back at them on Friday.
